The word "gospel" when used in the Bible literally means "good news". The good news that is being announced is that God has made a way for us to be acceptable before Him. This way is Jesus the Christ, in whom we can be made completely free from the curse of the fall of man. This plan of God is described in the Wordless Book used extensively by Child Evangelism Fellowship in its effort to fulfill its purpose statement and the Great Commission of Christ found in Matthew 28.
